About the Senior Deputy Manager Procurement Position

Ahmed Foods is seeking an experienced procurement professional to oversee purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging materials, and operational requirements. This leadership role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost optimization, packaging management, inventory planning, and procurement team leadership.

The selected candidate will work closely with Production, Stores, Quality Assurance (QA), and Finance departments to ensure the timely availability of materials while maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with applicable food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Deputy Manager Procurement will be responsible for the following duties:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, and operational requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and alternative sourcing options to improve cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
• Lead vendor negotiations involving pricing, long-term contracts, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
• Oversee packaging specifications, new packaging development, artwork approvals, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Ensure the timely availability of materials while maintaining quality standards, optimized inventory levels, and reduced lead times.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on cost efficiency, product quality, and delivery accuracy.
• Build strong supplier relationships and resolve issues related to material quality, pricing, and delayed deliveries.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, QA, Finance, and other departments to prevent material shortages and production interruptions.
• Lead, mentor, and guide procurement and packaging teams while monitoring departmental KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Halal guidelines, and ISO requirements.
• Assess procurement risks and implement measures to strengthen supply chain reliability.

Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
