Akif Saeed Appointed as Independent Director at UBL Fund Managers

Akif Saeed has taken on a new leadership responsibility as Independent Director at UBL Fund Managers, bringing extensive expertise in financial regulation, corporate governance, investment, and financial markets.

Saeed previously served as Chairperson of the SECP, where his responsibilities included strengthening regulatory oversight, advancing digitalisation, improving institutional processes, and supporting investor protection. His professional experience also includes serving as an Independent Director at Postal Life Insurance Company Ltd. and as a Financial Services Consultant with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

He is also the CEO and Director of Sage Consultants & Advisers (Private) Limited. With an MBA in Strategic Management and Investment from The University of Edinburgh and a master’s degree in Economics from Government College University, Lahore, Saeed brings a strong combination of regulatory insight, strategic leadership, and financial-sector expertise to his new board-level role.
