Job Overview
Utopia Industries is seeking a Manager, Training Centre to lead and manage technical training programs for non-management employees within its Knits Garments Division.
The role focuses on developing structured, skill-based training programs that address production and organizational requirements, improve technical capabilities, and establish a strong learning environment across the workforce.
The ideal candidate should have significant experience in technical training, vocational training, textile or garment manufacturing, along with strong leadership, communication, coaching, and team management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Training Centre for non-management technical training.
- Develop and implement structured technical training programs based on organizational and production requirements.
- Identify employee skill gaps and coordinate with relevant departments to address training needs.
- Plan and conduct training programs for production, technical, and support functions.
- Ensure effective onboarding and technical skill development of new employees.
- Monitor trainee attendance, progress, performance, and competency development.
- Develop training modules, SOPs, manuals, work instructions, and practical assessments.
- Establish and maintain competency standards for technical roles.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support workforce development initiatives aligned with garment manufacturing and production requirements.
Qualification & Experience
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional Experience
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in technical training, vocational training, textile manufacturing, or the garment industry is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing training programs and developing technical skills within a manufacturing environment.
