Amina Akram Appointed as Head Transaction & Employee Banking at U Microfinance Bank Limited

Amina Akram has taken on a new leadership role as Head of Transaction & Employee Banking at U Microfinance Bank Limited, bringing extensive experience in transaction banking, digital financial services, product management, and strategic business development.

Before joining U Microfinance Bank Limited, Akram served as Head of Business and Partnerships – North at Zindigi, where she focused on partnership development and business growth. Her previous leadership roles at Askari Bank included Product Head Cards and Head of Transaction Banking – North, where she contributed to card portfolio management, payment infrastructure improvements, customer acquisition, and digital transaction growth. She also held key positions at The Bank of Punjab, managing corporate relationships, business portfolios, and market expansion initiatives.

An MSc Economics graduate from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Akram brings a strong combination of financial expertise, product innovation, and relationship management to her new role, supporting the continued evolution of transaction and employee banking services.
