Bilal Ahmed celebrates one year as Lead MRI Engineer at Siemens Healthineers, marking another significant milestone in a career defined by technical excellence, innovation, and commitment to advancing MRI technology.
With over 𝟭𝟭 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 of specialized experience in MRI engineering, Bilal has earned a reputation for handling some of the most technically demanding procedures in the field. During his career with a third-party medical imaging organization, he became one of the few MRI engineers in Pakistan capable of independently performing cryogenic activities and successfully executing the cool down of a 4K-generation MRI system, a highly specialized process requiring exceptional precision and in depth expertise in superconducting magnet technology.
His outstanding engineering capabilities led to an international opportunity with ANOD Teknoloji in Türkiye, where he spent 𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 providing advanced MRI engineering services, supporting complex technical operations, and further enhancing his expertise in Siemens MRI systems and cryogenic technologies.
Returning to Pakistan, Bilal joined Siemens Healthineers, one of the world’s leading medical imaging companies. His technical competence, customer focused approach, and dedication to service excellence quickly distinguished him within the organization. Within just six months of joining Siemens Healthineers Pakistan, he was honored with the prestigious Customer Champion Award for the Pakistan region by Siemens Healthineers, recognizing his exceptional commitment to customer success and service quality.
Throughout his career, Bilal has developed rare expertise in MRI installation and commissioning, cryogenic operations, cold head replacement, helium management, magnet recovery, RF troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, advanced system diagnostics, and turnkey project execution. His ability to perform highly specialized engineering tasks with precision has made him one of the country’s leading MRI specialists.
As he completes his first year with Siemens Healthineers, Bilal remains committed to driving technical excellence, supporting healthcare providers, and contributing to the advancement of diagnostic imaging across Pakistan.
Bilal aspires to become Pakistan’s first MRI Technical Support Engineer (TSE), leveraging his field expertise to strengthen local technical capabilities and reduce system downtime across the country’s healthcare sector.
