Najam Abdali has been appointed as Country Head Information Technology at DP World Pakistan, marking a significant milestone in an exceptional technology leadership career spanning more than three decades.

A highly accomplished IT executive and digital transformation leader, Najam brings over 𝟯𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 of experience in information technology, port and logistics systems, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and mission-critical infrastructure. Throughout his tenure at DP World Karachi, he has successfully progressed through multiple leadership roles, including System Support Executive, Assistant Manager IT, Manager IT, General Manager IT, and Director IT, before assuming his latest position as Country Head Information Technology.

Widely recognized for leading the development of the Burraq Terminal Operating System (TOS) and driving major digital transformation initiatives—including Oracle ERP modernization, AI-powered automation, cybersecurity enhancements, ISO 27001 compliance, and terminal technology innovation—Najam has played a pivotal role in advancing Pakistan’s port technology ecosystem. A three-time Global CIO Summit Pakistan Award winner and author of Basic Concept of Computer Programming, he continues to set new benchmarks in technology leadership and operational excellence.
