Key Responsibilities
The Senior Officer, Taxation will be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day tax compliance and related matters

2. Deputy General Manager, Mechanical
Location: Unicol Sugar Division, Sargodha, Punjab
Reports To: General Manager, Operations
Unicol Sugar Division is seeking an experienced mechanical engineering leader for the position of Deputy General Manager, Mechanical in Sargodha. The role will be responsible for the mechanical health, reliability, maintenance, and performance of the plant, covering areas including the milling tandem, boiling house, power house, boilers, turbines, and other sugar processing equipment.
The successful candidate will lead mechanical maintenance operations, reliability improvement initiatives, safety compliance, budgeting, team leadership, and seasonal as well as off-season maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
The Deputy General Manager, Mechanical will be responsible for:
Mechanical Operations and Maintenance
- Ensuring safe and smooth mill operations throughout the crushing season
- Overseeing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across mills, boilers, turbines, centrifugals, evaporators, pans, crystallizers, pumps, gearboxes, and material handling systems
- Minimizing downtime through effective maintenance planning, spare management, and root-cause analysis
- Leading off-season overhaul planning and ensuring the plant is ready for season start-up
Planning, Budgeting and Team Leadership
- Preparing annual mechanical maintenance budgets and capital expenditure plans
- Monitoring maintenance costs and identifying optimization opportunities
- Leading and developing the mechanical engineering and maintenance team
- Planning manpower deployment, shift coverage, and contractor management for maintenance and overhauls
Safety and Compliance
- Maintaining operational safety across mills, boilers, turbines, power house, workshops, and material handling areas
- Implementing permit-to-work, LOTO, confined-space, hot-work, and working-at-height protocols
- Ensuring mechanical equipment operates within safe design parameters
- Leading safety audits, HIRA, and JSA activities
- Investigating mechanical failures and safety events and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Ensuring compliance with the Boiler Act, Factories Act, and other applicable statutory requirements
Reliability and Continuous Improvement
- Driving reliability and maintenance methodologies such as RCM and TPM
- Analyzing equipment performance and downtime trends
- Recommending equipment upgrades, retrofits, and capital projects
- Coordinating with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, Stores, and Procurement teams
- Reporting maintenance and reliability performance to the General Manager, Operations
Eligibility and Requirements
