Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring various billing and patient account activities at Usman Memorial Hospital.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and monitoring the Daily Bed Occupancy Report
- Managing daily patient advance and follow-up reports
- Auditing medical record files and preparing discrepancy reports
- Monitoring daily patient billing rounds and ensuring daily charging
- Preparing panel statements and checking documentation and dispatching
- Ensuring timely recoveries and maintaining the recovery follow-up logbook
- Managing new MRN and registration charges against card printing
- Maintaining and monitoring the front desk, billing staff, and duty roster
- Planning and directing registration, patient insurance, billing collection, and data processing activities
- Ensuring accurate patient billing and efficient account management
- Reviewing patient accounts to identify and resolve billing and processing issues
- Ensuring effective credit and collection policies and continuously monitoring them for improvement
- Developing and implementing procedures to improve the quality and efficiency of work processes
- Ensuring policies are communicated and administered consistently
- Supervising staff and ensuring that team members are properly trained
- Resolving queries from corporate panels and companies
- Performing any other tasks assigned by HOD/DO
