Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager I/II will be responsible for:
- Supervising day-to-day vehicle assembly shop operations to ensure smooth and efficient production
- Planning and monitoring production activities according to daily, monthly, and annual targets
- Ensuring compliance with SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, and Toyota Production System (TPS) principles
- Monitoring line efficiency, takt time, cycle time, manpower utilization, defects, rework, and production losses
- Identifying production bottlenecks and conducting root-cause analysis
- Implementing sustainable corrective actions
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, Jidoka, and waste reduction
- Coordinating with Quality Assurance, Production Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, and other relevant teams
- Developing and monitoring KPIs related to productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and manpower efficiency
- Leading, coaching, and developing team members through on-the-job training and performance management
- Supporting the implementation of new models, processes, equipment, and engineering changes
- Ensuring workplace safety and process compliance
